There is a barrier in the ocean right in front stopping the large waves from coming in creating a sandy warm shallow lagoon making it safe children. Beyond the barrier is the nicest area to snorkel and swim.(A lot of Fatima Bay is tricky to swim in as it is shallow and rocky - Not so in front of Villa Del Mar) After your swim in the ocean shower off in the fresh water showers by the pools It offers the largest pools and beautifully manicured greenspace so there is room for everyone.
